File contents travel browser to browser and are not stored. Transfer details are recorded.
Xferio Drive
Files are stored in your workspace with access rules, checks and limits. Available on this deployment for plans that include it.
You can delete your Xferio account yourself, at any time, from the Xferio app or from the website. Deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone.
How to delete your account
- In the app: Account → Delete account.
- On the web: sign in and open Account & security → Delete account.
- You confirm with your password, your two-step verification code if you use one, and by typing your account email.
Before you start
- An account that owns a workspace can’t be deleted. Transfer ownership of each workspace to another member, or delete the workspace, first. Both are separate actions in the workspace settings.
- Files you want to keep must be downloaded before you leave a workspace; afterwards you no longer have access to them.
What is deleted
- Your name, email address and password.
- Your two-step verification factor and recovery codes.
- All your sessions on every device, and any pending email links.
- Your membership of every workspace and the Drive sharing granted to you.
What is kept
- Security and audit records that mention your account keep an anonymous reference to it, so workspace and operator logs stay consistent. They no longer contain your name or email.
- Content you created inside a workspace belongs to that workspace: Drive files you uploaded and the records of transfers you made stay with it and are managed by its owner. Their retention follows the workspace’s own settings and plan.
- Direct transfers never stored file contents, so there is nothing to delete for them.
If you can’t sign in
Reset your password from the sign-in page first, then delete the account as described above.
